Release Party for Depth in Shallows Tonight @ Smiling Moose
Tonight’s the night: the release party for Depth in Shallows, my latest and most mature album yet. Find out why Connect of Fortified PhonetX calls it my “best work to date and potentially Pittsburgh’s best hip hop album of 2013,” or why Rory D. Webb of the Pittsburgh City Paper and the Pittsburgh hip hop blog, Stilltown, says my “at-times unorthodox rhyme scheme channels MCs like Pharoahe Monch,” and theĀ Depth in Shallows “subject matter fits the mold of Rhymesayers Records.”
The show is upstairs at the Smiling Moose in the South Side of Pittsburgh, PA.

‘Depth in Shallows’ Review in Pittsburgh City Paper Today
Rory D. Webb’s review of my new album, Depth in Shallows, is in this week’s issue of the Pittsburgh City Paper. I haven’t seen or read it myself, so I’ll be picking up a copy this afternoon. Shoutout to Andy Mulkerin–the music editor of the paper–and Rory for the write-up.
‘Depth in Shallows’ Now Available @ Bandcamp
I am happy to announce the opening day of Depth in Shallows, currently available @ http://proseed.bandcamp.com; later in the week I’ll make the album available on this website. Also, stay tuned for an update on digital stores that’ll carry the album, including Amazon, iTunes, CDBaby.com and so on. Proseed LIVE on WRCT 88.3 FM, Monday, 22, 2013
Tomorrow, Monday, 22, 2013, I’ll be performing for an entire hour with my homie DJ Blacklisted on WRCT 88.3 FM for a showcase of my catalog on “Advanced Calculus.” I will perform songs from Quintessential, Rotten Apples, Broken Walkman Body Shop, and the album I’m releasing only a few hours after the show, Depth in Shallows. I see the showcase as a great opportunity to reawaken the ears of the city to the sounds of local underground hip hop, as well as garner new listeners and plug the Depth in Shallows release party, Saturday, April 27th. Join us at 9 PM Monday night by listening live via radio or stream live at http://www.wrct.org or TuneIn.com.
‘Depth in Shallows’ CDs Arrived Today, 4/16/13
Just arrived today. Looks better than I had imagined! Sounds good, too.

‘Depth in Shallows’ Album Sampler, Mixed by DJ Mo Niklz
Connecticut’s DJ Mo Niklz has put together a sampler of the new album Depth in Shallows, set for release April 23, 2013. The sampler is a little bit over 7 and a half minutes long, so there’s plenty in there to give you a taste of the new stuff. Share it with your network! Enjoy, and thank you for your support!

Shadow Lounge’s Last Weekend in East Liberty
This weekend will be the last for the Shadow Lounge in East Liberty, a staple in Pittsburgh hip hop for the last 13 years. I’ve performed numerous times there over the years, have grown as an artist and met a lot of great and talented people through the venue. Coming from outside the city, I’ve always felt welcome when there. That’s one of the amazing realities about the place.
Justin Strong, co-owner, has always been gracious and complementary, and I’m sad to see the place go, but I look forward to seeing where the brand opens next, because I’m sure it’ll bring it’s following along; I know I’ll show up! There’s still time to buy tickets, so click the flier to find out more information and get tickets before the weekend is over. While I’m not performing, I’m definitely going out Friday to show my support for Justin, the Shadow Lounge staff, and Pittsburgh hip hop.
